On Wednesday, rapper T.I. got folks talking when an interview he did with New York-based Radio Personality, Angie Martinez, hit the interwebs.

The “No Mediocre” musician opened up about his split from long-time partner and wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, as well as his views on marriage.

While insisting that the two were “good,” T.I. not only stated that he feels he’d be a better “best friend” than husband to Tiny, but that marriage was a distraction.

“It seems to me that marriage and what marriage means and what marriage does …it’s just one of those things that’s going to distract me and deter me. And that could be selfish, but ultimately, I’m the patriarch of this family. And it’s my responsibility to take us onward and upward. I just have a purpose and I don’t always have the time to do the thoughtful and consideration things that a husband should do.”

Well it appears that Tiny has subtly addressed her son-to-be-ex-hubby’s remarks.

Taking to her Instagram page soon after news of T.I.’s comments were made public, the “Understanding” singer posted a video of @jstlbby reminding her of a valuable lesson.

“God works in mysterious ways,” @jstlbby states in the footage. “It’s nothing you can hide from God, he knows when we’re on like a straight and narrow path and he knows when distractions come and we kinda get sidetracked, but he has a way of putting roadblocks to block the distractions to keep us on that straight path.”

And I’m good…🙏🏽👑

“So lean on his understanding and not your own and he will guide you and never leave you alone,” she continues.

Tiny simply wrote three words to communicate her sentiments for the video’s caption.

“And I’m good…”

Welp.
