Grace Miguel and R&B crooner Usher Raymond recently separated after months of reported turbulence within their two-year marriage. While some believed the pair could eventually find their way back to one another, Miguel has decided to completely call it quits.
Wonderwall reports Grace officially filed for divorce Tuesday, April 10, citing irreconcilable differences. The pair have no children together. The pair released this statement following their separation.
“After much thought and consideration, we have mutually decided to separate as a couple. We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”
In fact, reports claim the Raymonds are going their separate ways because Miguel, 46, wanted kids via a surrogate, while Usher, who already has two children, wasn’t open to the idea, according to The Jasmine Brand.
Accusations of the singer passing an STD to several women last year also put a strain on the relationship, according to the report.
“The headlines and accusations were brutal. And it was really tough on them. They were fighting about it non-stop.”
