Members of the Beyhive have been desperate to know the sex of Shawn “Jay Z” Carter and Beyoncé’s twins, and it looks like former President Barack Obama may have spilled the beans!
In a video speech showing mad love to Jay Z, Mr. Obama seems to have hinted at the gender of the babies the couple will be having this summer.
“Jay and I are also fools for our daughters, although he’s gonna have me beat once those two twins show up,” the 55-year-old said in the video. “And let’s face it. We both have wives that are significantly more popular than we are. Like you, I am a fan.”
Whoops.
The Carters are known to value privacy and discretion, only dropping an occasional subliminal here and there. Maybe Mr. Obama’s hint is just what folks need.
The former commander-in-chief’s video dedicated to the hit maker follows news of the rapper’s induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Hov made history with the induction by becoming the first-ever hip hop musician to be inducted into the prestigious league of songwriters.
In the video, Mr. Obama related to Jay Z by noting similarities in their upbringings.
“I like to think Mr. Carter and I understand each other. Nobody who met us as younger men would have expected us to be where we are today,” he said.
It seems 2017 is shaping up to be a particularly exciting year for the couple. In addition to news of their growing family, Jay Z and Beyoncé became a billion-dollar couple when the “Get Me Bodied” singer made Forbes’ list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women.
