Megyn Kelly has once again found herself in hot water after she expressed confusion as to why some people think Blackface on Halloween is racist.

On Tuesday morning’s episode of Megyn Kelly Today, the host, Jenna Bush Hager, Melissa Rivers and Jacob Soboroff discussed why school universities are cracking down on “inappropriate & offensive” Halloween costumes, writes AOL.

“What is racist?” said Kelly. “You do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface for Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. Back when I was a kid, that was okay just as long as you were dressing as a character.”

Bush Hager, one of the daughters of former President George W. Bush, noted that “there are limits to how far you want to go,” while Rivers, daughter of the late Joan Rivers, said that “normal people know where that line is.”

Kelly brought up a recent incident on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York where Luanne de Lesseps darkened her skin and donned an afro when dressed up as Diana Ross.

“People said that that was racist! And I don’t know, like, I thought, like, ‘Who doesn’t love Diana Ross?’’ Kelly said. “She wants to look like Diana Ross for one day. I don’t know how that got racist on Halloween. It’s not like she’s walking around [wearing blackface] in general.”

As the clip circulated on Twitter on Tuesday, users blasted the Today host for her tone-deaf comments.
