After releasing a myriad of live acoustic covers over the past few months, the Canadian songstress Melanie Fiona has returned with her first single after a short hiatus. “Remember U” arrives as the lead single from her upcoming third album, Next Train. Created by her longtime collaborators, producer Jack Splash and writer Andrea Martin, “Remember U” is a soulful rendition of past love and old heartbreak. The singer provides a vulnerable and transparent outlook on the aftermath of old love. All I do is remember you, she sings. All that I’ve been through.”

“The new single  foreshadows the release of her upcoming LP, which is due out next spring. “I’m really excited for this project,” she shared with Rap-Up. I’m so thankful for the fans that have been anticipating my music, staying with me through my personal journey as a mother.”

Following her time off after tending to her newborn, Fiona is planning to hit the road at the start of the new year before launching a tour in support of her album. In the meantime, listen to her new track below.
