Late last month, radio personality Melyssa Ford sustained serious injuries after an 18-wheel tractor trailer allegedly clipped the back of her Jeep’s tire and sent the car into a tailspin on the Ventura Freeway in Los Angeles.
TheJasmineBrand reports the former video model has now been released from the hospital after suffering from a concussion, fractured skull, bleeding on the brain and a 10-inch head wound that had to be surgically closed with staples and stitches. Sources close to Ford say she is currently using a walker to get around while she continues to heal at home.
“She also has staples in her elbows and other severe cuts and bruises on her entire body. She’s walking with the assistance of a walker and will have to undergo therapy to fully recover.”
Close friend Claudia Jordan launched a GoFundMe page to raise money to help cover Ford’s medical bills, raising over $20,000 so far. Celebrity donors include Stephen A. Smith, Bevy Smith, Julissa Bermudez and Big Tigger.
“Melyssa is still emotionally trying to process this nightmare,” shared the source. “Her family and close friends will continue to support her through this ordeal.”
