Former first lady Michelle Obama will be in Miami on Friday to encourage Florida residents to vote in the upcoming midterm election, WSVN Miami reports.

Obama will be joined with celebrities such as singers Faith Hill and Kelly Rowland, and rapper Fat Joe at the University of Miami rally.

The event is open to the public; attendees can pick up their tickets in advance from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m at:

  • Florida Immigration Coalition (FLIC), 2800 Biscayne Blvd., Suite 200.
  • Watsco Center Box Office Will Call, 1245 Dauer Dr., Coral Gables

Obama has hit the road to get people more involved in the voting process through When We All Vote, a nonpartisan voter registration initiative.
