Iylana Vanzant invites five siblings to meet with their mother, Rita, a former drug-addict, who abandoned them when they were children. The family attempts to confront the pain they experienced in the past and works toward mending their bond.
Vanzant offers Rita an opportunity to open up about the chaotic lifestyle she lived and how it led to her abandoning her children.
Vanzant encourages Michael, one of Rita’s sons, to share the medical condition he says he was diagnosed with as a result of the extreme physical abuse he experienced.
