From runway inspirations to one-of-a-kind designs, our picks are sure to keep you up on your nail game while giving you the 411 on how to recreate many of the looks yourself. This week, self-proclaimed nail addict Keisha Jordan gives us the scoop on this cool twist on floral nail art.

The Trend: Rocker chic plus fresh blossoms make for a fabulously feminine manicure. We scoured Instagram looking for the hottest rendition of this delicately detailed nail trend that's delightful as a bouquet of handpicked blossoms. Kick spring off in style with this creative DIY.

What You’ll Need:

  • Acrylic paint (Keisha recommends Craft Smart paints, available at Michaels.com)
  • Nail art brush
  • Dotting tool

EBONY.com: How did you create this design?

Keisha Jordan: To create the flower and leaf details, I used Craft Smart acrylic paint in neon pink, pink blast, lush foliage and grass green. Next, I used the nail art brush, dotting tool and lots of patience to create the floral designs. Finally, I applied two coats of topcoat to give it a gel-like manicure finish.

Editor’s Note: To recreate the base color of this look, we recommended using two coats of Pure Ice Nail Enamels in Electric ($1.97; Walmart.com) followed by one coat of Fergie by Wet N Wild Nail Color Collection in Rock n’ Roll ($3.49; Walgreens.com). For the pop of color on the accent nails, try NYC Long-Wearing Nail Enamel in Big Apple Red Crème ($.99; Kmart.com).

EBONY.com: According to your Instagram account, you change your designs pretty often. What type of nail polish remover do you find safest for the health of your nails?

KJ: I use plain acetone remover to take off my nail polish. It works faster than other brands of remover on the market.
