Nas’ debut album, Illmatic, is an indisputable classic that has aged just as well as the MC himself. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the hip-hop masterpiece, an immersive multimedia pop-up event dedicated to the album will run for eight days this month in New York City.

“Illmatic XXV: Memory Lane in NYC” is open now through Sunday, April 27, at Sony Square and features an art gallery with listening stations, photographs, artifacts and memorabilia associated with Illmatic and its influential effects on hip-hop culture and history.

The MC welcomed partygoers to the exhibit's opening night, linking with fellow rapper and the only guest artist on Illmatic, AZ, as well as The Music Box host Ralph McDaniels and others. Check out photos below.
