More than 1,500 Berkeley High School students walked out of class and marched through city streets in protest of racial slurs and a lynching threat on Thursday.
A 15-year-old student confessed to posting the slurs a day earlier, according to the school’s principal. Students walked out at 9 am and demonstrated on campus and at UC Berkeley.
They expressed anger and outrage at the racial epithet and violent threats against African-Americans.
