Prince Harry, Megan Markle, Bishop Michael Curry, royal wedding

The royal wedding is only days away and people are paying attention to every detail of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials.

Kensington Palace announced last week that Bishop Michael Curry, head of the Episcopal Church, would speak at the ceremony on Saturday.

Though addresses are usually given by officials from the Church of England, Curry, the first African-American leader of the Episcopal Church, hails from Chicago. Before Curry, only British priests were invited to oversee royal events, according to Vox.

“The love that has brought and will bind Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle together has its source and origin in God, and is the key to life and happiness,” Curry said in a statement, according to Reuters.

Curry will be joined in leadership positions at the ceremony by the head of the Church of England, Justin Welby, and the dean of Windsor, the Rev. David Conner.
