Breastfeeding in public has been a hot topic of discussion for the past few years, with both famous and non-famous moms arguing they should be able to do so without shame. For years, Utah and Idaho were the only two states that didn’t have laws in place to protect mothers who breastfed their infants outside of the home, but PEOPLE reports the two red states have finally come around.

Utah recently voted for a bill allowing women to “breastfeed in any place of public accommodation” that passed through the state legislature with by a margin of  66-5. Idaho’s new bill, which protects breastfeeding mothers from indecent exposure and obscenity laws, passed with a 66-0 vote.

Sports Illustrated model Mara Martin recently took to the runway while breastfeeding 5-month-old daughter, Aria.

“I can’t believe I am waking up to headlines with me and my daughter in them for doing something I do every day,” Martin posted on Instagram the following Monday. “It is truly so humbling and unreal to say the least. I’m so grateful to be able to share this message and hopefully normalize breastfeeding and also show others that women CAN DO IT ALL!”
