The body of a U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) worker, who’s been missing since February, has been found, according to multiple reports.

Police confirmed that scientist Dr. Timothy Cunningham’s body was found in the Chattahoochee River in Atlanta. They believe that he drowned and no foul play was at hand, PEOPLE reports.

“The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the body recovered in the Chattahoochee River in NW Atlanta late Tuesday to be missing CDC employee Timothy Cunningham,” the Atlanta Police Department tweeted on Thursday.

Cunningham, 35, was an epidemiologist at the Atlanta-based CDC who was reported missing more than six weeks ago. His family had said they went to his home and found his belongings intact when they filed a report, according to the Associated Press.

The scientist had a list of accomplishments during his career. He co-authored more than two dozen publications that centered on how health issues impact minorities, worked on notable public health crises such as the Zika and Ebola outbreaks, PEOPLE reports.
