Lisa Palmer dropped out of Hunter College nearly 18 months ago. However, the college dropout still refuses to leave her dormitory, according to the New York Post.

On Tuesday (Feb. 27), the New York City college filed an eviction lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court claiming that Palmer is illegally squatting in Room E579 at Brookdale Residence Hall on East 25th Street.

“Not only did Palmer refuse to vacate her dormitory room in order to make room for incoming, eligible students enrolled at Hunter College, but she dropped out of Hunter College, making her ineligible for student housing in any event,” the lawsuit reads in part.

Palmer moved into the residence hall in spring 2016 as a student but failed to pay her student fees. Hunter says that by the summer of 2016 the school sent her notices to vacate the dorm room over missed payments and non-enrollment in any classes.

While school officials claim that Palmer dropped out of college, the Delaware native says she was barred from registering for classes after disputing her housing and tuition bill.

The school is alleging Palmer owes nearly $100,000.

“I plan on fighting the lawsuit, and while I fight it, I’m going to stay,” Palmer told The Post.
