CVS has fired two managers over an incident where they called the police on a Chicago Black woman using a coupon that they believed was fake, the company said in a statement on Monday.

The pharmacy chain tweeted that its investigation into the matter is complete and issued an apology to the woman that was posted on social media by on Friday.

“We have sincerely apologized to Ms. Hudson for her experience in one of our Chicago stores,” the company wrote. “We have completed our investigation, and as a result the two colleagues who were involved are no longer employed by CVS Health.

On Friday, Hudson originally posted a video on her Facebook page, before it was taken down by the social media giant, showing a CVS manager, Morry Matson, referred to as “coupon carl” online, on the phone with police, visibly shaking, about Hudson being in the store.

Hudson, who was trying to purchase an item with a coupon, said that the managers at the store accused her of handwriting the coupon. She alleged that the police were called after she asked them to call CVS corporate.

“He was nasty, he was unprofessional, he was dismissive, he was accusatory,” Hudson told Block Club Chicago about the unidentified manager. “His entire tone and demeanor was offensive and problematic.”
