Former President Barack Obama commented on the tragic school shooting where 17 people lost their lives.

Obama tweeted to his 100 million followers his condolences but asked for common-sense gun laws.

“We are grieving with Parkland. But we are not powerless,” he wrote.

Obama’s comment is a stark difference from President Trump’s tweets from earlier Thursday, where he seemingly blamed the shooter’s “neighbors and classmates” for not stopping the tragedy in time.
