Ever since a woman by the name of “Jan,” threatened to boycott the news program that Obilor is on because she felt the reporter is a “size 16 woman in a size 6 dress, and looks ridiculous,” existing and new fans of the newscaster alike have taken to social media to offer up their support of the beautiful TV personality. From artist Chance the Rapper calling Jan “Big Mad,” to millions of patrons online showering Obilor with body-positive compliments, it’s safe to say that Jan’s rant has contributed to Obilor’s viral success!
So much so, that actress Gabrielle Union took to her own Instagram to not only applaud the journalist for handling her body shaming like a boss, but to also deem her the “real life Mary Jane.”

Union even went on further to gift Obilor with clothing from her collection with renowned women’s clothing brand, New York and Company:
