Three Mississippi teens have been charged with killing a 6-year-old boy after stealing a vehicle he was left in.
KTLA reports that Kingston Frazier was left unsupervised around 1:15 a.m. Thursday. He was in a Toyota Camry that was parked in a Kroger lot, officials say.
According to the Hind’s County Sheriff’s Office, the suspects pulled into the parking lot in a separate vehicle. One of them then got into the Camry and both vehicles pulled off. Whether the driver knew the child was in the car remains unclear.
When Kingston’s mother exited the store, she alerted a nearby sheriff’s deputy that her vehicle was not there. An Amber Alert was issued by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation when it became clear that a child was in the vehicle.

Dwan Wakefield, D’Allen Washington and Byron McBride are being held without bond. All three will be charged as adults with capital murder for the killing of a child during a kidnapping, District Attorney Michael Guest said in a conference Thursday.
The teens are also facing charges related to auto theft in Hinds County.
