Black Twitter could not be controlled last Monday when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement.

While we were fruitlessly attempting to contain our excitement at the prospect of a Black duchess, the half-sister of the soon-to-be member of the Royal family, Samantha Grant, was concocting material for memoir Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister.

The 57-year-old, who is a former actress and model, began doing press for the book in October. During an interview with Good Morning Britain, she clarified that the memoir, which already appears worthy of claims of libel from the title alone, would not be a defamatory “tell-all:”

“First of all, it’s only a tell-all in that I go through and recant some of the beautiful nuances of our lives, our family home. But more importantly, it has to do with the inter-racial evolution of this country through the lens of my life and my family since the Civil Rights Act until present, and how that intersects with this recent event with my sister, you know, my feelings about it, my family’s feelings about it, and how sad it was going through it all. But it’s more of a beautiful, warm, witty story of our lives and my life.”

But given the timing of the book and earlier claims by Grant that her sister was a “shallow social climber,” her intentions appear to hover between 15 seconds of fame and decrying her sister’s reputation. She’s also alleged Markle mistreated her family. Additionally, Metro U.K. reports the twice-divorced Grant is bankrupt.

“The royal family would be appalled by what she’s done to her own family,” Grant said according to the publication. “The truth would kill her relationship with Prince Harry.”

Grant’s mother told the Daily Mail in April that her daughter has been jealous of Markle for years.

“I am very serious when I say she has dogged on Meghan forever,” she said according to the article published in April. “She has never liked Meghan, and she’s always been jealous of her.”

Welp. Nothing to see here folks. This looks like a clear case of hatin’ gone wild.
