Last night, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed more than 50 African heads of state to a dinner at the White House, during the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, held in Washington, D.C. since Monday. The First Lady stunned in a yellow Prabal Gurung cocktail dress with her hair swept up in a top knot. Other fashion highlights included the always stylish First Lady of Cameroon, Mrs. Chantal Biya, and the daughter of Rwanda’s president, Ms. Ange Kagame.

During the dinner, President Obama recounted his and his family’s “deeply personal” ties to Africa and raised a toast: “to the New Africa — the Africa that is rising and so full of promise — and to our shared task to keep on working for the peace and prosperity and justice that all our people seek and that all our people so richly deserve.”
