In November, Nicki Minaj’s brother, Jelani Maraj, was found guilty in a trial regarding child rape.

Now, Page Six reports that Maraj wants his conviction tossed. One Tuesday, the sentencing for the brother of the famed “Right By My Side” musician was put off for another month, following a petition by his lawyer to have the conviction overturned.

Maraj, 39, faces up to life in prison for the repeated rape of his stepdaughter, said to have started in their Baldwin home when she was 11 and married to his mother.

The girl, now 13, took the stand during the trial and reportedly said Maraj threatened to take her away from her mom if she didn’t allow the abuse to continue.

A jury found him guilty of predatory sexual assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child for his crimes.
