The Nigerian government has created an app that allows people to report human trafficking in the western African country, CNN reports.

iReport is the brainchild of the country’s the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NATIP) and allows citizens to inform authorities of trafficking cases.

Nigeria has the highest rate of women and children sent to Europe illegally than any other African nation.

Around 11,000 women and 3,000 children Nigerians arrived in Italy by sea in 2016, with around 80 percent of them being trafficked, according to the International Organization for Migration.

Per the report:

IOM estimates that about 80 percent of Nigerian women and girls arriving by sea in 2016 are likely to be victims of trafficking for sexual exploitation in Italy or in other countries of the European Union. 16 According to the Organization’s assessment, women and unaccompanied girls of Nigeria are among the most at risk of being trafficked for sexual exploitation.

Director General of NAPTIP, Julie Okah-Donli told CNN in a statement that trafficking organizations have made record profits over the “inhuman and barbaric” practice.
