The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History Culture (NMAAHC) is celebrating Black History Month in a variety of ways, including a social media campaign that will highlight military history.
In addition to the campaign, notable celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will be featured during discussions at the museum. On Feb. 15, the NMAAHC will collaborate with the National Museum of the American Indian for the “Finding Common Ground” symposium.
The museum will also commemorate the 150th birthday of W.E.B. DuBois on Thursday, Feb. 22 with “Cinema + Conversation: W.E.B. Du Bois: A Biography in Four” at 2 p.m.
