It’s official: America would rather watch political commentator Joy-Ann Reid discuss these treacherous times than CNN.

On Wednesday, Shadow and Act reported that MSNBC’s weekend morning show “AM Joy,” which runs from 10 AM to 12 PM, tops CNN’s viewership during the same time slot. Saturday episodes of “AM Joy” outrank CNN with a viewership of 1.02 million compared to 788,000. But reportedly this trend is nothing new. July is the fifth consecutive month “AM Joy” has outnumbered CNN weekend morning programming in ratings.

The premiere digital site for TV and film also reported that Reid’s Sunday viewership ―which pulls in a total of 880,000 viewers ― has risen 72 percent among the 25-54 year old demographic.

Reid, a former business consultant, began her reporting career in 1997 with WVSN in South Florida, according to Rolling Out. After serving as The Grio’s Managing Editor for three years the seasoned journalist hosted “The Reid Report” for a year until its cancellation in February 2015.

The Harvard graduate is most revered for her “tell it like it is” commentary. Reid has been forthright about her views on the lunacy to come out of the White House. Her honesty has led to conservative outlets like Breitbart and The Blaze to constantly condemn the host whenever she criticizes Trump. On and off-air, Reid is also not one to shy away from matters of race. In April, when former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer had the audacity to tell journalist April Ryan to stop shaking her head, Reid voiced her repugnance on Twitter.

Clearly she’s doing something right. We’re staying tuned.
