After the violent events of last week, emotions are remaining high and President Obama is convening a national conversation on race. Spurred by the deaths of Philandro Castile in Minnesota and Alton Sterling in Louisiana, the event is being broadcast without interruption beginning at 8 p.m. EDT. on ABC and ESPN. Members of the audience will be encouraged to be honest and give depth to their feelings about the situation on race, policing and how these and other subjects interact.
