An Ohio man saved an 11-year-old girl from an attempted kidnapping in Golf Manor, Ohio.

Nazier Elahee, 37, noticed strange behavior between a man and girl on Sept. 18. Jessie Woodard Jr. was pulling the girl by her arm when Elahee walked past the two.

“I noticed that a man was walking down the street toting a girl behind him, pulling her by the wrist,” Elahee told Fox19. “But as they walked passed us, she looked back at me and mouthed the words “Help me” several times.”

Elahee went to ask the child if she knew the man accompanying her.

“When she said “No,” I was like, what’s going on? I asked the gentleman if he knew her and he said, ‘No, I’m taking her home,'” he said.

After Elahee rescued the child and called the police, Woodward attempted to escape. Elahee chased him until officers arrived.

“If he had gotten that little girl to wherever he was going to, she could have been raped … killed,” he said. “If I could have done something else I would have, but the right thing to do was to call the police and keep the girl safe.”
