Yesterday, T.J. Lane, the suspected shooter responsible for murdering three students Monday at Chardon High School, was formally charged with three counts of aggravated murder, two counts of aggravated attempted murder, and one count of felonious assault.

Although the city of Chardon, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, is still shaken, students are scheduled to return to school today. Lane, who wasn't a student at Chardon but attended a nearby alternative school, is said to feel remorseful for his actions and his motives are still unclear. His charges were filed in juvenile court, but prosecutor David Joyce plans to try him as an adult, which could potentially give him life without parole. Lane’s hearing is also next week in Geauga County court.

Can anyone make sense of these senseless murders?
