Omarosa Manigault Newman, former Apprentice star and member of President Donald Trump’s administration, is reportedly leaving her post at the White House, CBS News reports.

According to a statement released by the White House on Wednesday morning, Manigault Newman resigned Tuesday “to pursue other opportunities.”

Her resignation will not be effective until Jan. 20. “We wish her the best in future endeavors and are grateful for her service,” the statement says.

Last week, the White House announced that Deputy National Security Adviser Dina Powell will exit from the administration early next year. The news outlet reports that Manigault Newman’s departure is a foreshadowing of significant changes in the Trump administration.

Manigault Newman’s time in the White House has not come without tension. In February, April Ryan, a reporter with American Urban Radio Networks who frequently reports on happenings in the White House, accused Manigault Newman of bullying and threatening her. At a National Association of Black Journalists convention this year, she reportedly had a shouting match with a journalist.

Manigault Newman was a fierce advocate for Trump during his presidential campaign and had previously traveled with him while on the campaign trail.

After Trump was elected, Manigault Newman later joined his transition team following the 2016 election where she served on the executive committee. She later joined the White House Office of Public Liaison and worked on outreach to various constituency groups.

Her role was clouded by uncertainty as many were not really sure how to define it. She was known as an outreach advocate for the African-American community for the White House, but ran into several roadblocks when speaking and advocating on behalf of Trump.

No word on what role Manigault Newman will be taking once she leaves the White House.
