Since a scathing report accusing Grammy award-winning musical genius, R. Kelly, of keeping women hostage and using them for sex slaves went public Monday, the internet has been attempting to piece together disturbing information regarding the veteran entertainer that many have come to know and love.

Originally published by Buzzfeed News, the report claims that the “I Believe I Can Fly” musician manipulates young teen girls and keeps them at his property for personal consumption. He allegedly separates them from their families, who have since attempted to save their daughters from harm by going public with what has been happening.

But one woman whose family accused R. Kelly of robbing them of their daughter is speaking out.

TMZ spoke with 21-year-old Joycelyn Savage. Her father, mother and sister held a news conference Monday, where they accused the “Bump N’ Grind” singer of making her his sex slave.

But Savage says she’s right where she wants to be.

“I just want to say that I am at a happy place in my life and I’m not being brainwashed or anything like that,” Savage says in a video clip. “It just came to a point where everything has just got out of hand. So I just wanted everybody to know, my parents and everybody in the world that I am totally fine. I’m happy where I’m at and everything is OK with me.”

When asked if she was being held against her will, Savage denied that claim.

“Oh no. Not at all …never been held hostage or anything of that nature.”

In response to her family asking for a well-being check, Savage said she wasn’t sure why they would request it.

“I don’t know what’s going on with that. So I really don’t want to speak on that.”

In the clip, Savage also explains why she has decided to distance herself from her family.

“I haven’t really spoken to them,” she said. “They’ve been causing problems in my life by saying I’ve been [held] hostage and saying I’m [being held] against my will and stuff like that. […] I’m very heartbroken …what’s going on with this situation because it’s getting to a point where it’s too out of hand.”
