A 13-year-old has taken her life after being repeatedly bullied by her peers. NBC San Diego has reported that California eighth-grader Rosalie Avila died Monday after being taken off of life support. She hung herself last Tuesday.

“I woke up and there was screaming,” Rosalie’s father, Freddie Avila, told NBC. “I had to find my daughter … in her room.”

Rosalie reportedly kept a diary in which she shared her bullying experiences, such as being called ugly by peers.

“My daughter had the whole world,” her father continued. “Now, I just have to think about what she could have done or what she could have become. Now it’s just a memory.”

Her suicide note read, “Sorry, Mom and Dade. I love you.” Her family has launched a GoFundMe campaign for her funeral expenses.

Last Wednesday, 10-year-old Ashawnty Davis hung herself after a fight with a bully was recorded and circulated among her peers.
