Captured in the Central African Republic by the Ugandan army, Caesar Achellam was is one of the top men in the Lord’s Resistance Army. Authorities are hoping his capture will advance them in the search for Joseph Kony, the leader of the treacherous rebel force. Achellam was the top rebel military strategist for the group.
Felix Kulaigye, the spokesperson for the Uganda army said, “The arrest of Major General Caesar Achellam is big progress because he is a big fish,” adding "His capture is definitely going to cause an opinion shift within LRA." Kony has gained notoriety in the past couple months after a YouTube video depicted his horrible crimes against civilians. It is suspected that he has to move every day to avoid capture.
