The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has honored rap icon Snoop Dogg with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Long Beach, California multihyphenate was recognized in the recording category during a Monday afternoon ceremony in front of the El Capitan Entertainment Center on Hollywood Boulevard, according to The Jasmine Brand. The βDrop It Like Itβs Hot” artist landed the 2,651st star on the famous walkway.
βSnoop Dogg is one of those people who can do anything. He raps, he acts, he hosts a television show, he cooks, and helps community kids with his philanthropic work,β said producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Ana Martinez, to Variety. βHe is a man of the ages and we welcome him to our Hollywood Walk of Fame.β
Snoop was joined by his immediate family, including son Cordell, daughter, Cori, and wife, Shante, who posted photos from the ceremony honoring her husband of 21 years.
