Eugene Hinton, a custodian at Moody Elementary School in Alabama, was brought to tears after a gymnasium of third graders surprised him with gifts of gratitude on Oct. 2 for National Custodian Day.
Hinton was called to the gym by Andrea Tatum, a third grade, under the pretense of cleaning up after a child who had an accident, according to a video shared by Now This, an American liberal website and media company.
He unexpectedly overwhelmed when walked into a surprise party of cheering students there to honor him for being a “superhero.”
Hinton, a father of five, has worked at Moody Elementary for two years and cleans up after close to 1,000 students daily.
