President Donald Trump spoke at the 2018 Young Black Leadership Summit in the White House on Friday following authorities arresting Cesar Sayoc Jr. in connection with the explosive packages sent to top Democrats and CNN.

The 3-day event, organized by the group Turning Point USA, is for young, Black conservatives between the ages of 15 and 35, according to USA Today.

Youth will be able to hone their professional development and job training skills, as well as attend networking events at the free conference.

Black conservatives such as Housing Secretary Ben Carson, Candace Owens, Larry Elder and Stacey Dash will reportedly be in attendance.

Before he spoke to the youth at the Summit, Trump thanked authorities for capturing the suspect and condemned “political violence.”

“These terrorists are despicable and have no place in our country,” he said. “We must never allow political violence to take root in America. I’m committed to doing everything in my power to stop it.”

The tone of his remarks was noticeably different than what he tweeted earlier Friday morning, referring to the explosive devices sent to former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton as “bomb stuff.”

“Republicans are doing so well in early voting, and at the polls, and now this ‘Bomb’ stuff happens and the momentum greatly slows – news not talking politics,” he tweeted.
