The organizer who planned the deadly Charlottesville, Virginia, rally last year has received approval for a second “Unite the Right” rally, according to NPR.

The National Park Service has granted an initial request for a White civil rights rally in front of the White House in August.

It would take place Aug. 11-12, which marks the one-year anniversary of the events in Charlottesville, where Heather Heyer, 32, was killed and more than 19 people were injured after a car was driven into a crowd, NPR reports. James Alex Fields Jr. of Ohio has been charged with second-degree murder.

A permit has not yet been granted.

Jason Kessler, who organized last year’s rally with Richard Spencer, filed his event application and wants it to be held at Lafayette Park in Washington, D.C.

He stated that the event’s purpose is for “protesting civil rights abuse in Charlottesville,” and expects 400 people to participate.

National outrage erupted last year after the rally when President Donald Trump said there was “hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides” after protesters clashed with White nationalists and other right-wing groups.
