As more and more news continues to surface about George Zimmerman, Trayvon Martin, and exactly what happened that night in Sanford, Florida, an undeniable truth has also begun to emerge: This — the Zimmerman case — will probably take a long time to be resolved. Although the American legal system attempts (well, occasionally attempts) for justice to be swift, the considerable racial, political, and sociological factors associated with this case ensures that this will likely drag on.

Hopefully, the length of the case doesn't cause Trayvon fatigue in the thousands who mobilized, galvanized, and protested to bring attention to this injustice. We can't allow the passage of time to quell the fire the death of Trayvon Martin sparked.
