A Brooklyn teen who was killed in bed during a sleepover in May was not the intended target, police officials told NBC New York on Wednesday.

A surveillance video shows three men entering a Brooklyn home where Genesis Wilson was sleeping over at on the night he died.

Law enforcement officials are searching for the men and are encouraging witnessed to call them if they have any tips. No arrests have been made.

Sources told NBC New York that another person was the target of the groups’ attack.

“This pain no one should ever feel,” Paula Aumack, Wilson’s mother, told NBC. “This pain is unbearable.”

Wilson’s death comes into light after the brutal attack on Lesandro “Junior Guzman-Feliz, who was stabbed to death last month by five men wielding machetes in the Bronx, New York.
