Rapper 50 Cent has reportedly sold his 50,000-square-foot mansion in Farmington, Connecticut, for $2.9 million. According to TMZ, the musician is donating the money to charity.

The 52-room home has been on the market for more than a decade. The recent sale was 84 percent less than the $18.5 million Jackson listed it for in 2007, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The rapper bought the home from Mike Tyson's ex-wife, Monica Turner, for $4.1 million in 2003. He spent nearly $6 million on renovations, which included a nightclub and an in-home studio.
In January during an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, he talked about the cons of owning such a massive home
"You know when you look down the hallway in your house and you don't wanna go down there?" the rapper joked. "You go, 'I don't care what's going on down there, I don't want to go over there."
He added that things would break because they weren't being used. "You didn't turn it on, now the light is flickering," he said.
