Cameron Sterling, the son of Alton Sterling, has been arrested after allegedly raping an 8-year-old boy he was supposed to be babysitting.

The Advocate reports the 18-year-old denied he did anything wrong when confronted by the boy’s mother, but did admit he had some kind of “episode.” Sterling is accused of taking the child into a bedroom, locking the door and raping him. He has been booked into Parish Prison on first degree rape charges.

Sterling’s father, Alton Sterling, was shot and killed by policemen while selling CDs in front of a Baton Rouge, LA convenience store July 5, 2016. Police were responding to reports that the 37-year-old was brandishing a gun.

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry said that the officers tried “several non-lethal techniques” before using deadly force on Sterling. Neither officer was charged with Sterling’s death.

“The Louisiana Department of Justice cannot proceed with a prosecution of either Officer Lake or either Officer Salamoni,”  Landry said. “We came to this conclusion after reviewing countless hours of evidence.”
