Georgia police have located a former Atlanta Braves player who was reported missing over the weekend.
According to WSB-TV, the Woodstock Police Department said Otis Nixon, 58, was last seen leaving his home Saturday morning in a gray Range Rover. Authorities say he was headed to a local gold course but never arrived at his destination.
Nixon was last seen in a black long sleeve shirt, black sweatpants and a black baseball camp. Nixon’s shoes were also black with white strips.
Woodstock, Georgia police took to Facebook in hopes of collecting information leading to Nixon’s location. Whether tips from those who saw the post led to his safe return has not been disclosed.
The Woodstock Police Department posted the following tweet Monday morning announcing the news.
UPDATE: Otis Nixon has been located and is safe. We appreciate the assistance from the public and media.

Nixon played as an outfielder for the Braves. During his career, which spanned from 1983 to 1999 (he played in Boston for the 1994 season), Nixon batted .270 and stole 620 bases. He ranked 16th on the all-time list.
