Former President Barack Obama will have a street in a predominately African-American community of South Los Angeles renamed in his honor, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Rodeo Road, not to be confused with Rodeo Drive, the street known for luxury goods, will be renamed Obama Boulevard thanks to a vote by The Los Angeles City Council on Tuesday. President Herb Wesson proposed the potential name change in 2017 to honor the 44th president, who campaigned on the street at Rancho Cienega Sports Center and Park during his run for the Oval Office.
