Ben Carson used to be an advocate for so many people. What happened?

When the retired neurosurgeon dropped out of the 2016 presidential race, he made the decision to endorse Donald Trump declaring that, “Even though I might be leaving the campaign trail, you know there’s a lot of people who love me, they just won’t vote for me. But I will still continue to be heavily involved in trying to save our nation.”

Endorsement is one thing, but completely dismissing crucial conversations and issues in our country is another. And Ben Carson has reached a new level.  During an interview with MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Carson tried to shut down BBC Reporter Katty Kay and then said it “doesn’t matter” whether or not Trump groped the women he’s accused of having assaulted.

Here are a few things we should put into perspective before we dive into his latest act of buffoonery. Today, we learned from Omari Hardwick that every nine seconds a woman in the U.S. is assaulted or beaten.

But, “it doesn’t matter?”

In a recent survey conducted at Los Angeles high schools, more than half of the girls said that they had been sexually harassed on campus or in their communities.

But, “it doesn’t matter?”

We’re not sure if Carson’s trying to still “save our nation” or just his political ties. At any rate, he should be ashamed and this permanently puts him on the “no invite” list for every Black function from here on out.
