Prominent Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King’s Twitter account was suspended on Wednesday.

The move comes after King posted a screenshot of an email exchange with CNN editorial producer Andrea Lewis that included her contact information.

On Wednesday, Lewis reached out to King, who also writes for The New York Daily News, requesting an appearance on the network.

King, who was at the center of controversy in August after a conservative website published a report questioning his racial identity, was not thrilled to receive Lewis’ email.

The accusations forced King to release a response, detailing his personal past to clear up misconceptions about his identity. CNN’s Don Lemon reported on the allegations, and King felt the network handled the situation poorly.
