Scottie Pippen Mourns Loss Of Son
The oldest child of Scottie Pippen, Antron Pippen, has died. In a statement shared on Twitter Monday afternoon, the basketball icon announced Antron’s passing.
“I’m heartbroken to share that yesterday, I said goodbye to my firstborn son Antron. The two of us shared a love for basketball and we had countless conversations about the game,” Pippen wrote. “Antron suffered from chronic asthma and if he hadn’t had it, I truly believe he would’ve made it to the NBA. He never let that get him down, though—Antron stayed positive and worked hard, and I am so proud of the man that he became. Please keep his mom, Karen, and all of his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. A kind heart and beautiful soul gone way too soon. I love you, son, rest easy until we meet again.”
Antron was 33 years old. No cause of death has been revealed at this time.

Derek Chauvin Defense Expert Accused Of Cover-up In Eerily Similar Case
Dr. David Fowler, the former Maryland chief medical examiner who testified on behalf of the defense in the Derek Chauvin trial, is facing a federal lawsuit in Maryland in connection to a similar case. According to Yahoo News, the lawsuit alleges that Fowler and the medical examiner overseeing the autopsy of 19-year-old Anton Black purposely covered up for police by ignoring evidence that Black died of asphyxia and trumping up other factors that coincided with police narratives. Black died in 2018 while in police custody after officers with the Greensboro Police Department and other nearby agencies allegedly kept their weight on Black for several minutes after he was handcuffed. Fowler served as a chief medical examiner in Maryland for 17 years before he retired in 2019. As an expert witness in the Chauvin trial, Fowler testified that he would have ruled Floyd’s cause of death as “undetermined” as opposed to a homicide.
