Viewers of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) got to watch Cynthia Bailey’s love story with Fox Sports correspondent Mike Hill unfold on the small screen. Almost a year into their relationship, the RHOA star is convinced her new beau is the one.
While visiting The Real on Wednesday, Bailey revealed she was ready for marriage and expects a trip down the aisle in the near future.
“Well, I want to marry this man. I love this man. We have time. When Mike is ready and when God is ready, that’s when we will get married,” she explained. “However, I do predict that Mike and God will be ready sometime next year. Praise God! You know it’s crazy, we talk about it all the time. I’ve been married before, Mike has been married before. We have kids already, we’re enjoying the process.”
She may be ready to give marriage another shot now, but it wasn’t always that way.
Bailey shared her apprehensions about remarrying during a November 2018 chat with EBONY. She said, “I had no desire to marry again after my divorce, none whatsoever. Then I had to change that narrative to be more open because I don’t know what God has in store for me. If it’s God’s will, if it happens, it happens, but I still was not looking for that.”
She explained how her new man changed her perspective. “When I met Mike, I didn’t get the feeling that I had to get married, I just have to be with him, whatever that looks like. If that looks like we’re moving in together, that’s fine. If that means we’re getting married, that’s fine, I just know that I want to be with him. So yes, the door is still open. Let me be specific, the door is open for Mike Hill.”
The couple made their relationship Instagram official while celebrating Hill’s birthday in August.
Bailey, who surprised her new bae with a candlelit dinner, wrote, “Happy Birthday @itsmikehill. I hope you enjoy your special day baby.”
Hill followed suit, writing, “Have to admit, this birthday caught me by surprise!! I’m so grateful and blessed. Thank you for being so awesome!!! I usually do a big party but sometimes you just have to Chill. #LeoSeason #JustBeHappy @cynthiabailey10.”
