Developers Release Questionable Slave Trade Game

It seems like the “What year is this?!” question in reference to racial insensitivity and bigotry is worth asking more and more these days.

There’s a new game available and it promises to allow you to have “fun” while witnessing the “horrors of the slave trade firsthand.” The game, “Playing History 2: Slave Trade,” was created by Serious Games Interactive, a Denmark-based gaming company.

Peep the description for “Slave Trade” below:

“Travel back in time and witness the horrors of slave trade firsthand. You will be working as a young slave steward on a ship crossing the Atlantic. You are to serve the captain and be his eyes and ears. What do you do, when you realize that your own sister has been captured by the slave traders?”
