Developments in Hudson Family Murder Trial

As the murder trial for William Balfour, the man accused of killing three members of Jennifer Hudson's family, swiftly approaches, more and more details continue to emerge concerning the singer's involvement the events prior to the Chicago tragedy. Recent reports have surfaced indicating that the procecutor would like to speak with Hudson before the trial begins in April. The request is regarding a series of texts and calls exchanged between Hudson and her mother shortly before she, Hudson's brother and 7 year old nephew were murdered in 2008.

Prior to this request, Balfour's attorney had made attempts at clearing Balfour by declaring no evidence linked him to the heinous crime. However, detectives soon ruled out her claim, having found gunshot residue on Balfour's steering wheel. While its uncertain whether or not Hudson will take the stand at trial, which is set to air publically, the prosecutor has stated he has yet to speak with the superstar and has only communicated with her agent to date.
