Diana Ross to Celebrate 75th Birthday With Epic Grammy Performance

Ross will celebrate her birthday early with a special 75th Diamond Diana GRAMMYS performance.

LOS ANGELES - FEB 12: DIANA ROSS arriving to Grammy Awards 2012 on February 12, 2012 in Los Angeles, CA

Diana Ross will be celebrating her birthday six weeks early with a special 75th Diamond Diana birthday performance during this year’s Grammy Awards show on February 10, Entertainment Tonight reports. The Motown legend will actually turn 75 years old on March 26.

Ross, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award Grammy in 2012, had never before won a National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences award, either for her work with the Supremes or her solo classics.

“It’s been many years, and I’ve watched all the changes in the industry,” said Ross during her 2012 acceptance speech. “When I started, I think we were making 78s, then it was 33 1/3s, then it was 45s, then there was eight-tracks and then it was cassettes. . . . We went from analog to digital, and it’s been such an incredible ride.”

Alicia Keys, who has 15 Grammys, is set to host the ceremony and shared the news on YouTube two weeks ago.

“I know what it feels like to be on that stage, and I’m going to bring that vibe and energy,” said Keys. “I’m so excited to be the master of ceremonies on the biggest night in music and celebrate the creativity, power and magic. I’m especially excited for all the incredible women nominated this year! It’s going ‘UP’ on February 10!”
