Bloggers are ushering in a new beauty trend claiming that rubbing toothpaste on your breasts will make them larger and decrease sagging. However, Christopher Inglefield, the medical director of the London Bridge Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Clinic, told The Standard, the toothpaste method is “fake news and pure online quackery.”
One YouTube user, NaturalBeauty556, uploaded a video on Feb. 2 titled, “Tighten Sagging Breasts in 6 Days Using Toothpaste No Jokes 100% Working Result In Live Demo,” in which she advises viewers to combine toothpaste, cucumber, yogurt, egg whites and flour to create a paste for her chest.
Other videos including one by Roxy Brilange allege that rubbing toothpaste on your nipples and Vaseline on your chest will increase your boobs.
“This bizarre advice simply preys on the many women who are unhappy with the size of their breasts and who might resort to bizarre ‘miracle fixes’ to find a solution to their problem,” Inglefield said. The cosmetic and reconstruction plastic surgeon also said breast augmentation through these hacks is “highly unlikely.”
